Proceeds
from awareness and fundraising activities of the Gulf Stream Council of
the Boy Scouts of America provide for attractive programs designed to
expand a Scout's horizons. The aim of Scouting is character training
with the goal of helping participants become independent and helpful
citizens. Scouts are taught independence, leadership, the ambition to
learn, and a moral code with positive goals. Developing characteristics
of responsibility, self-reliance, self-confidence, and readiness, Scouts
learn collaboration and leadership skills in preparation for the events
of a fulfilling life.
