09/20/2010 - 11:37 p.m. EST -- by Paparazzi Protection Seriously wealthy South Floridians already are getting ready for one of the social season’s kickoffs, the Rally for Kids With Cancer Nov. 12-13 in and around Miami. The fundraiser matches celebs like Desperate Housewives‘ Eva Longoria Parker and CSI:Miami’s Sofia Milos with philanthropists as they scour SoFla in exotic cars for scavenger hunt clues. In addition to coming up with their own cash, the drivers must also raise $25,000 through fundraisers in order to participate. And it all goes to funding research for a cure for cancer in children. Page2Live has picked its driver: Shoe designer Lisa Pliner’s. And Pliner, wife of another famous shoe designer, Donald J. Pliner, already raised a few bucks the other day from a party at Miami’s Nail Bar. (www.Page2Live.com) |
